Grand River Transit (GRT) operates the specialized transit service MobilityPLUS to provide transit services to those in our community who are unable to physically access conventional GRT bus services.

In addition to the many local routes, GRT operates GRT iXpress routes. These are designed to transport riders along the fastest, most efficient route with fewer stops along the way.

The Ainslie Street Transit Terminal located at 35 Ainslie Street South in the Galt sector of Cambridge, is the hub for many Cambridge-based Grand River Transit routes. Cambridge is also host to a number of private schools that offer varied educational programs to all age groups and include private French language.

For those wishing to pursue their career aspirations or upgrade their skills, Cambridge is home to a number of post secondary institutions. These include the University of Waterloo’s School of Architecture and the Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.

The Cambridge Downtown Campus of Conestoga provides academic upgrading, career-focused programs, LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) classes and continuing education opportunities. The Fountain Street campus in Cambridge is home to Conestoga’s School of Engineering Technology and Trades, as well as its Institute of Food Processing Technology.
