Situated adjacent to Toronto’s Pearson International airport in southern Ontario, Brampton has a current population of over 600,000.

Brampton’s young and diverse multicultural population represent more than 200 different cultures and its residents speak more than 89 languages. Brampton Transit also operates the Züm Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service, with four routes that take individuals to York University, the Mississauga City Centre Terminal, Humber College and to Downtown Brampton (Queen Street/Goreway Drive).

• Mount Pleasant GO Station – 1600 Bovaird Dr. W.

Greyhound Canada connects Brampton to nearly 1,000 locations through its inter-city transportation service and VIA Rail service is available to cities along the Windsor to Quebec corridor.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Roads” tab_id=”1563392904175-faf15086-f7bb7c8b-1d72″][vc_column_text]Brampton is easily accessible by a number of highways, including the 407 ETR and Highway 410 which run through the city. As part of the Osler Health Network, services at this regional hospital include a critical care response team, a cardiac catheterization suite, a Regional Kidney Wellness Centre, a Centre for Complex Diabetes Care and an expansive Mental Health and Addictions program. Brampton Civic hospital delivers more babies and sees more emergency room patients than any other hospital in Ontario.

Additional Health Care facilities are in the works for Brampton. Osler’s Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health Wellness is scheduled for completion in fall 2016. It will provide specialized outpatient-based care, including urgent care, day surgery, and clinics that help individuals better manage chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes and kidney disease.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Education in Brampton” tab_id=”1566499052918-fa0e5ec8-2fb0″][vc_column_text]Through the Peel District and the Dufferin-Peel Catholic School Boards a full-range of public, and catholic education facilities are available throughout Brampton. Conseil scolaire Viamonde offers francophone families French public education, while the Conseil scolaire de district catholique Centre-Sud offers secondary school education for francophone catholic families. Brampton also is home to numerous types of private schools.

Interesting in furthering your post-secondary education? Brampton is home to Sheridan Colleges’ largest campus, the Davis Campus. This innovative and multicultural campus offers access to diploma and degree programs on a full-time and continuing education basis programs in business, health care, community studies, liberal arts, engineering, architecture, information technology, and more.

The Davis Campus is also home to The Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies which acts as “technology playground” that helps small and medium enterprises to develop and adopt new technology alongside Sheridan researchers.
