All buses are accessible and are equipped with bike racks year round. Queens University students can ride the bus free of charge during the academic year by showing their validated student cards.

Coach Canada and Mega Bus provide bus service from Kingston to Brockville, Cornwall, Whitby, Scarborough and Toronto from the Kingston Bus Terminal located at 1175 John Counter Blvd. Greyhound Canada, which also operates from the Kingston Bus Terminal, provides bus service to Ottawa and a variety of locations throughout Ontario and beyond.

Kingston General Hospital (KGH) which is located at 76 Stuart Street, in Kingston, is SouthEastern Ontario’s leading centre for complex-acute and specialty care and is home to the Cancer Centre of SouthEastern Ontario. In addition to its regional role, KGH also serves as a community hospital, caring for the less acute needs of the residents of Greater Kingston.

Hotel Dieu Hospital (166 Brock Street, Kingston) is the ambulatory care teaching and research hospital for Kingston and SouthEastern Ontario. As an outpatient care facility it provides medical care or treatment that does not require an overnight stay and that includes services such as specialized clinic visits, day surgeries and diagnostic procedures using advanced technology, equipment or procedures.

Providence Care is SouthEastern Ontario’s leading provider of specialized mental health care, physical medicine and rehabilitation, specialized geriatric services, complex continuing care, palliative care and long-term care. St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital, 340 Union Street; Mental Health Services, 752 King Street West; and Providence Manor, 275 Sydenham Street

For non-life threatening illnesses and injuries, Kingston has an Urgent Care Centre at Hotel Dieu Hospital at 166 Brock Street, as well as a number of walk in-clinics that service the health needs of residents. Queens University, one of Canada’s oldest degree-granting institutions, offers a wide range of academic opportunities at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels. Queens is internationally recognized for its business, health sciences faculties (encompassing the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, and Rehabilitation Therapy), law and science faculties and has extensive research laboratories that pursue subjects such as fuel cells, alternative energies, robotics, cancer research, and biotechnology.

Kingston is also home to the Royal Military College which has been providing education and training for careers in the Canadian armed forces for over 100 years.

St. Lawrence College offers more than 70 academic programs in applied arts, business, engineering technology, health sciences and skilled trades on a fall-time, part-time or continuing education basis.
